The Destiny is the main setting for the SyFy Channel show Stargate Universe.

After a devastating attack on the offworld Icarus Base, the personnel are forced to evacuate to an Ancient vessel, the Destiny, launched from the milky way galaxy hundreds of thousands of years ago crossing the vast distances between galaxies.

The Destiny was launched along with a number of other unmanned ‘Seeder’ ships designed to locate habitable planets, appropriate resources to manufacture Stargates. The Destiny was an Ancient experiment designed to traverse the universe and allow the Ancients to gate aboard.

The Destiny navigates from galaxy to galaxy using a Faster-Than-Light Drive, stopping when in range of Stargates to allow people to travel to these worlds.

The Destiny Project was started to freely supply correct and up to date information on the Ancient spaceship Destiny. As well as providing on screen information, this site will provide future information about the series and information pieced together from canon material.
